Yeah it's 4G. Nothing new nor innovative in it. Though it claims speeds up to 21 mbps I have never seen on hit such. Maybe 7-8 on a really good signal but nothing near 21. Even Phonescoop's test hit a little over 7 mbps.

Don't get me wrong, the Galaxy S series are great phones though I am confused why this one comes with such laughable internal memory compared to the Vibrant. Also, why no Gingerbread? It's out, some devices have it, so why not toss it on a new 4G phone?

Annoying how companies toss out brand new products but put older software on them. Yes 2.2 is older software though odd how some devices are just getting it, but if you are presenting some of the newest technology, wouldn't you want it to have the latest on it?

I suppose it would depend on your Network coverage. I live in the Detroit area but, I am no where near the actual "4G" signal so I have to rely on "3G" speeds. As far as the "old software" comment, I totally agree with you on that. Why not offer everyone that wasted thier money on the Vibrant a FREE upgrade and exchange to the Galaxy 4G? They would pretty much be getting the same phone they had before. Maybe Samsung could use the old phones to puch out the next Galaxy clone, only this one will be running "Gingerbread." I just got the "FroYo" update for mine like two weeks ago. They need to get the ball rolling, Google is already working on 4.0 "Ice Cream" and we're all stuck in the past.
