Verizon insurance through Asurion for iPhone is $10.99/mo and there is a $129-$199 deductible (depending on model) you can only file 2 claims per year. Covers liquid damage, physical damage and lost/stolen.

There are other avenues as well to protect the iPhone- Best Buy's Geek Squad Black Tie Protection is $14.99/mo, $0 deductible, unlimited amount of claims per year, covers physical and liquid damage but NOT lost or stolen. To make matters easier, you can pay the entire 2 yrs of protection upfront for $229.98 and save a large amount of money (do the math)

Some people are less prone to be dumb and leave their phone lying by itself in a public area. If you are very cautious about not using your phone, I'd go the Best Buy route- however you must by the phone from them to get their insurance.

If you have a tendency of losing phones, go with Verizon's and be prepared to pay a lot out of pocket.

I'm required by the company to admit that I work for Best Buy Mobile. However I realize our protection isn't ideal for everybody.
