iOS vs. WebOS vs. Android
If anyone has owned all 3 operating systems, who do you think is the best?
I had the iPhone 3GS (iOS), Palm Pre (WebOS) and now have the EVO 4G (Android).
Here is what I think....WebOS is the best operating system (sucks it has limited apps) but IMO it goes to show that while PALM is no longer here, they had the most experience with smart phones and operating systems (they are one of the original smartphone creators) and HP now needs to step up the hardware WebOS runs on.
The iPHONE definitely has the best build qualify and is the most polished hardware.
Evo 4G and Android has the best specs and is the most customizable, but with all of different apps for main functions like SMS, it feels like its not as smooth.

I've been wanting to try webOS. It looks pretty cool and I've always liked the design of the Pre but the reviews weren't good. I remember having a Palm IIIc with 8mb of storage. Ha!
As for me I've had a 3GS, 4 and the Droid Incredible. Android definitely wasn't for me. Way too glitchy. My biggest complaint on the 3GS was the screen; love the retina display on the 4.

operating systems are honestly getting to the point where personal preference is overtaking actual quality. each of the major 4 have there ups/downs. so it basically comes down to what you plan to use your device for. the most obvious is blackberry, which is second-to-none when it comes to mobile e-mail. they are the originator of "push" e-mail, and they are still the lone OS to have TRUE "push". if you are basing your decision of off entertainment, then you have to start comparing android and iOS. I MY OPINION ONLY, i believe that iOS is TOO specific to iphones. I've used all three Operating Systems quite a bit now. Here's what I have to say.
Order of how I rate it (other ratings below)
1: Android - This is at the top, only because it has the widest scope. Many devices run this OS, and they can all access most of all the same apps on the market. Which is huge. Operation is reasonably easy once you get used to it. However, Android apps rely on the OS to shut them down and not the user pushing an "Exit" button, which every app should have in its menus. Third party task managers can help sometimes, but often kill system services that are needed for proper operation. It does have a wicked fast browser and can do Flash Player.

The Android OS and its apps are about like Shareware - glitchy and unsophisticated. WebOS is a great operating system, but it has suffered from the crappy phones it was on and lack of serious apps. If those two factors change it could become a major player.

Agree 100%. I like Android for the customization and freedom it offers, but at the same time, the apps and games frankly suck for the most part. I gave Android a chance for 2-3 years and just wasn't that blown away. I also had a Palm Pre for several months (demo given to me by my Sprint store) and while I liked the OS and thought it had potential, the app market was practically nonexistent and the hardware really sucked
