How strong is the vibrate mode?

by ANiforos    Feb 12, 2011, 4:42 PM

I'm happy the iPhone has come to Verizon. I've been with Verizon for years, since they bought out GTE in North Carolina.....maybe 15 to 20 years ago. My partner has had an iPhone since AT&T first rolled them out, so I know about all its virtues. The only reason I still have an LG-VX8700 is that I can feel it vibrate when I get a phone call, and when I have tested out my partners iPhone, I could never feel it vibrate. First and formost for me, this device will be a telephone and if I don't know anyone is trying to get in touch with me, whats the point inn having one. I use a small pouch which you wear on your belt, made by a company called Ripoffs. They are great holster/pouches. Heck, I can feel my LG vibrate while sitting on my riding lawnmower cutting the grass, or riding my tractor scraping a gravel driveway. I actually tried a Droid Eris about a year or two ago. Kept it activated for all of about 30 minutes. I kept walking around the house calling the droid with my home phone, and nine times out of ten, I never felt it ring. Really, after about 30 minutes I deactivated it and sold it on Craigslist the next day.

Sorry to be so long winded here. Any comments on the new Verizon iPhone? I was kind of wishing that the new phone would have a stronger vibrater. I just don't understand why they don't do it, its so easy to do....just offset the little counterweight on the tiny motor and there you go.
