Re: What is the Scoop on Reception?
It actually had decent reception, and handled email and messagging well and all that, but was dismal failure because invarably, when a call came in it would take 2-3 seconds to register the "answer" button. But that wasn't the best part.... any human would instinctively hit the "answer" several times in vain, like people do to make an elevator come faster. Well, when it finally registered "answer" keypress the RIM engineers programmed the "End Call" soft key in very the same place on the screen, so you guessed it, 50ms or so after you answered the phone you'd hang up on the caller who would of course call again for a second round. Silly me for trying to use a phone to make and receive phone calls.
