Re: LETTER TO AT&T
I agree with you 100%. I'll never forget New Years Eve 1997/98 in Times Square. I had just gotten taken in by AT&T's Digital One Rate, the 1st nation wide calling plan with roaming and long distance included. Out there in the crowd, I couldn't make a call to save my life. Meanwhile, everyone around me with a Bell Atlantic Mobile (Verizon's old name) phone had no problems at all making or receiving calls.
Then there was the nightmare of 9/11 AT&T put me through. I was a relief worker at the NYC Medical Examiner's Office and to make a long story short, every carrier's phones worked in the computer/call center operations room, where all the processing of the human tragedy of the World Trade Center disaster took place, EXCEPT AT&T:
So if no other carrier besides AT&T ever got the iPhone, I'd live my life without it before ever becoming an AT&T customer again. Been on Verizon since 2003.
