How strong is the vibrate mode?

I'm happy the iPhone has come to Verizon. I've been with Verizon for years, since they bought out GTE in North Carolina.....maybe 15 to 20 years ago. My partner has had an iPhone since AT&T first rolled them out, so I know about all its virtues. The only reason I still have an LG-VX8700 is that I can feel it vibrate when I get a phone call, and when I have tested out my partners iPhone, I could never feel it vibrate. First and formost for me, this device will be a telephone and if I don't know anyone is trying to get in touch with me, whats the point inn having one. I use a small pouch which you wear on your belt, made by a company called Ripoffs. They are great holster/pouches. Heck, I can feel my LG vibrate while sitting on my riding...

I found this interesting. The Verizon model has a different vibrating mechanism than the AT&T model.

Thanks for the link tipdrill. I was hoping for a stronger vibrate mode, not a softer one. I cannot believe they are making it "softer, quieter". Whats the matter with them? Oh well, looks like there is NOT an iPhone in my future.
