Wow, that's $119 for one line! I pay $79 for unlimited (mobile)talk, text, and data, including the $10 charge for "premium" data on Sprint. Shocked

Yes, you do. And a Kia goes for $8900 and a Mercedes goes for $60,000. And there is a reason for both.

Love the analogy. Owning an iPhone isn't going to be cheap, as is the same as owning a Mercedes.

Its no more then (well talking about plans, not phone cost) having a Blackberry, Android or any other smartphone. Be it on VZW or AT&T. There is no premium cost owning any of them. I thought this was settled two years ago.

Yes but there are of people dont have a smart phone and when they do get one it's a little more bc of the data plan.

AT&T they have two different data plans for the iPhone, then you gotta add on text messages and whatever else you want (ex. insurance).

My blackberry on Verizon costs a bit less than what I would need on AT&T with the iPhone (and I'm including everything: data, voice, sms/mms, insurance).

It all really depends on what people need and how much they are willing to pay for it.

Let me put it to you this way, if you want from your garden variety flip phone, be in lg, moto, samsung etc.. To an iPhone, Blackberry, Android, whatever on VZW, yes you would pay more, but no more then using any of the smartphone choices. End cost would be the same. The cost of the phone from VZW would vary. You would pay no more every month from your blackberry, to an iphone, outside of some legacy deal you may have that one can't get anymore.
