Apple iPhone 4 (CDMA)
Verizon-no more NewEvery2 before iphone release
Not to mention, if someone cancels over a $50 (or less) credit 4 months before their contract ends (the only time NE2 matter) then they have bigger problems than their contract.
Did you mean the annual upgrade? That's to be expected (and ATT didn't allow the annual upgrade pricing on iPhone's either. It was 2yr+ $200)
The annual upgrade for Verizon customers was 2 year price+ $20. (Att has an annual upgrade on 2yr contracts for a similar price as well, but you could not use it on the iphone)
it doesn't matter. The fact remains that if you HAD a Ne2, you still have one. If you're signing up now, or re-signing, you have NO REASON to expect a NE2.
So again, why in the world would people pay a 350 ETF over something they KNOW they're not getting?
I'm currently on an old plan with Verizon so I know that I still have an upgrade available. And if they change that, well, c'est la vie..
They're not financially feasible anymore. A lot of the popular phones are already discounted so much that retailers were losing money, even after getting money back for the contract commission.
The iphone made it convienent (and nessesary) to drop it now, but it wasn't like the programs would stay around even if Verizon didn't get the iphone.
