Motorola claims 16 GB.
Based on past experience, Motorola's spec sheet could be wrong. (It wouldn't be the first time.) But it's also possible that early prototypes have 4 GB, and the final shipping version will have 16 GB. Perhaps a decision was made late in development to change the memory spec.
We're looking into it and trying to get confirmation of the real number.
First, increasing memory is almost certainly going to increase weight, which may lend credence to the theory that moto has decided to increase ram.
Second, I have a friend who has the OG Droid, as I do. We were comparing phones the other day, and his, which is about a year newer than mine, weighs more. At first we attributed this to the case he carries his in, but even after removing the shell, his was still heavier, but barely perceptible. To make a long story short, it turns out the newer batteries are very slightly heavier than the old batteries. They have the same part number on them, same mAh rating, but the newer battery is slightly heavier. This also could account for a variance between spe...
