...and yet the iPhone gets consistently faster data rates than most phones AT&T markets as "4G", because AT&T has thus far crippled most of them to run at artificially slower speeds.

And really, 4G should mean HSPA+ as opposed to standard HSPA like the iPhone, yet AT&T seems happy to market the Veer as a "4G" device, even though it doesn't support HSPA+.

Whether AT&T calls a phone "4G" is meaningless.
