Speaker Problem
Hi.
It sounds like the speaker is going on my 4500. This makes me sad, because I have given this phone high praise and love it. I have read in some of the reviews that others have had this problem as well. I have had the phone for just over a month. Will bring it to Verizon tomorrow. âšī¸

keep the faith, i've had several of these 4500's for various reasons (did you know they're not meant for swimming đ ) anyway, only on one did i blow the speaker, and verizon quickly replaced it, no questions asked. so, keep lovin this phone.

I just brought my phone up to Verizon and sure enough, that's what it was. The only problem is, that sort of defeats the purpose of why I bought that particular phone in the first place. Does this mean that you shouldn't use the speaker mode at all or should you just use it for receiving calls so you know whose calling? Thanks for the encouragement.

đ Glad it worked out. I've used the speakerphone for most of the 25 + hours / month that I'm on the phone, for the past year, and only once did the speaker blow. I only wish my computer was this reliable. Since the Verizon folks fixed the problem immediately, I'd say: enjoy and don't worry.

Appartently, this is going to be an ongoing saga. I had a friend of mine pick up the phone. Apparently they swapped out the phone because the software isn't the latest. I called the store and they said that it should be and suggested I call Customer Service which I did. They told me that this should be the latest software which is what they told me before. Customer Service took a look and said that it looked like they swapped out the phone. If I didn't have to pay $175 for early termination, I would definitely jump ship and get a Nokia 6620 and the Talks Software even though it is a lot more money. Just letting everybody know that these are some of the problems I have had with Verizon since I got this phone.
