4500 for sale

I was at the Verizon store today and they gave me a new LG4500 as a replacement. I had only gone in to ask them about something I had observed on my original LG4500 that I have had for a year. They just offered to replace my phone. It blew my mind because I wasn't griping or anything. I've gotta give them some praise for that. Anyway, I am considering selling the new LG4500 since I am now ready to move onto my next toy.

I have been very pleased with the phone. The speakerphone and voice dial are very nice when driving. The voice dial is much better since you can choose whether to dial a home, office, mobile number, etc. from each contact.

I also have the extended battery which has performed well.

Just curious about what you said above? Are you meaning that with the new software (V4?) you can now choose which number you want to dial for each contact? Because on my 4500 when I voice dial it only dials the first number stored for that contact. It does not give me a choice of which number (home, office, etc) to dial. I got my phone in early Dec and it has the -2 version of software.

Just wondering! Thanks.

Hi Hillzy:

Yes, you should upgrade to the V4 software which will give you more features. It works very well.

Good luck!

As chris78 says you do have alot more features. You can now select whether you want to dial home, mobile, office etc. using voice command. Very sweet indeed, but the process for selecting it is a tiny bit longer than I would prefer.

Hi 2fingers,

I realize that maybe you would like a new toy, but why would want to sell this phone? Granted, it is only a mid price phone or, are you looking for something with more features. If it hadn't been for this phone, I would have waited until my contract was up in the spring and gone to Cingular and the Nokia 6620 with Talks software which would have cost a lot more money.

Good luck.

My itch has been scratched because I got my wife a new phone. She is using the Nokia 6015i because she prefers candy bar phones. I set the phone up and actually dig the phone. I am actually considering getting it until I move into a PDA-phone or phone with a TFT screen. I like the fact that I don't have to open it. I wanted a flip because they were so cool, and I never could have afforded the Moto Startac (mac daddy cool in the day). Now that this has passed I just have an itch for a new phone and the Nokia is cheap and small.

The one thing that is awesome about the 4500 is the voice dial. This may be enough to keep me in the phone for a while longer. My deriving is much safer which is better for everyone.

I would actually ...

Yes, I can certainly understand your itch. I have had the same thing when buying hifi equipment. You are always looking for something better.

I hope you can cell the phone.

Good luck.
