I called Verizon to get information on the release of VX4500 and/or VX4600. They forwarded me to LG. LG told me that release information is not available. Ugh!!!
I am starting a new job on Monday and need to get a mobile (my last company provided me with a phone and coverage). I want to get a new phone and am going crazy. The Sanyo 5500 gets great reviews, but Sprint coverage isn't adequate for me. Anyone got any ideas?

there's a thread in howard forums that states vzw claims 2 phones will be released on jan. 15th, an LG and a samsung. hopefully they're right.

That is a good point. I went by the local Verizon store to see if they knew anything. They didn't even know the VX4500, VX4600, and VX7000 existed. The guy at the store did say that they test the phones in all markets which makes sense. If other people postted that they were testing the phone, I would have more hope.

I work at a verizon store and we just got them in in our shipment. we don't have a date as to when we can sell them 😛

no. phones for the most part are offered by market i have noticed. i have out of state customers come to my store and ask why a certain phone is not offered at their store. i'm not sure why they do this.

well, for now, the phones are just sitting in our stock room. as an employee, we really don't know when we are getting a phone until it just pops up in our shipment. so i have yet to receive notification on when we can even sell the handset. i am HOPING it's within the week, but who knows. as far as back east, i have no clue as to when it will be available.

It's been posted in a number of forums and BBSs by VZW reps that the vx4500 will be released on 1/29, along with a $50 MIR form. No mention of what VZW plans to charge for the phone, tho.......
