Accidental mode switching?
I had a VX4400, and if you kept it in your pocket, the side buttons would always get pressed in, resulting in the phone switching to manner or silent mode. This was a frequent complaint about the phone. The VX4500 has the same side-button feature, but I haven't seen any complaints. Does the shape or firmware somehow prevent this from happening? Any insights, anyone? Other than that, it seems like the perfect phone for me.

I had the 4400B for about 2 weeks and am aware of the problem. The 4500 has not had the same issue for me. Manner mode is initiated by the lower volume instead of the separate bottom button. This may be the reason.

Interesting! But the 4500's bottom button goes into driving mode, right? So I'd expect it to do that instead.. but it doesn't, does it?
