--it's pretty useless in South Florida. Or all of Florida for that matter. Froyo 2.2 & 1xRTT. *shudder*

The phone does have wifi. From what I heard the 1x is not that bad on this phone.

I'd just buy it now; 4G is right around the corner in South Florida.

I'm not sure what you're saying. This phone doesn't have 4G.

Whoops. Got it confused with Metro's Samsung Craft, somehow.

I understand the 1xRTT, but why is 2.2 a problem?

It's not. Froyo is amazing. But try downloading apps or doing essentially anything with your smartphone over 1xRTT.

1x is fast enough for your e-mail apps. You really don't notice a lag. Google maps works pretty well on 1x although some patience is required.

You're right about downloading though. It's painful! Luckily I have a Wi-Fi connection most places I need it.

Metro will have 4G in South Florida very, very soon. Once that drops I don't know what's keeping me with Verizon.

Metro's LTE is comparable to EVDO Rev A. It won't wow you.

What will wow you is having unlimited everything without breaking the bank. If your service quality is similar to mine in S. Florida, Metro's a great choice.

You are wrong, Metro's LTE is faster than Sprint's fake 4G. We've had it here for a few months now in Detroit. Only problem is not enough phones.

I am RIGHT. Metro won't even release their 4G numbers. Why? Because they've limited spectrum for 4G services. There's nothing wrong with it, but 4G from any of the majors will rock Metro's world.

I've had a chance to benchmark metro 4G on speedtest, and I get speeds slightly faster than Verizon 3G.

It averages just over 1Mbps speed is sufficient for most tasks including streaming video, and for $40/month compared to everyone else's $100/month unlimited services, it's a pretty good deal.
