Bluetooth issue?

My brother who had been with AT&T from 2001-2011 got his T-Bolt this March 2011. It took me 10 yrs to convince him to come over to Verizon.

I have been with Verizon since 2001. My original Moto Droid phone is acting up more in the last week or so.

A few days ago I texted him if there were any issues with his T-Bolt. He replied that his phone has difficulty keeping a Bluetooth connection so he is able to drive his car and talk hands free with his phone.

This is first thing I have heard of the Bluetooth issue and the T-bolt. Has anyone else had any similar issue?

Is Verizon planning on an update to fix this issue??

thanks ahead of time for your help.

I forgot to mention that I am thinking of getting a 4G phone to replace my dying Moto Droid, but I really like the bluetooth feature that my 2004 Acura TL has. In fact I got this car 1 yr before I got a phone with BT and used the BT feature every day since.

I've not heard anything specific about the Thunderbolt Bluetooth but over the years I've heard A LOT of incompatibilities with car bluetooth systems and phones. One car will work great with a certain phone and another won't. You'll also have one phone that may work great with your car and then your next phone may not. There is really no way to know until you try it. The car manufacturer usually has a list of known phones that work with their system, but that doesn't mean others won't work as well.

Thanks for the info.

My brother is coming to see me today for a couple of days. I could try to pair his phone with my car to see if it works on my car. Excellent thought!!!!

I'm having issues with Bluetooth. My brother and I have the same phone but his bluetooth is the motorola 505 that has the speaker on the visor and works GREAT! but I have the handsfree ear Motorola and it doesn't work but only for sometime. My car has a bluetooth device that was made for the car and it will work and not work. Sometimes I have to turn off the phone. It's all a mess. Maybe i should have stayed with my Droid.

I am not having issues with the bluetooth, but I am having trouble with voicemail. It seems that despite how long it takes verizon to update and upgrade software, there are always tons of issues and bugs.
