Looks like I'm sticking with my Incredible. Verizon is set to go into gouge mode with the new 4G phones.

Even though this is for the tablet I am sure it will be the same for the never to be released ThunderBolt.

This is almost exactly the same as they were charging all along for 3G data for tablets, and for tethering (except on tethering, everything is slipped down a tier (none included, and peaks at 5GB for $80). And they were doing this right alongside the unlimited phone data. So I don't see anything to support the theory that just because they are charging that for tablet data they will charge that for phone data. Not saying they won't, since I don't know, but let's wait until we have actual news before jumping off the cliff. Please?

I hope you are correct. I would like to upgrade to the Thunderbolt from the incredible but I am not willing to pay any more than I am now.

Keep in mind, that inb the past 3g wifi adaptors, netbooks, and data cards were priced as the following.

39.99 = 250mb
59.99 = 5gb

They moved those to the following prices.

20.00 = 1gb
35.00 = 3gb
50.00 = 5gb
80.00 = 10gb

The 4g mobile broadband prices are the following.

50.00 = 5gb
80.00 = 10gb

Personally I feel that the data prices changes on the 3g Mobile broadband was a good change, it made it more affordable and offered more choices for every customer.
I have also heard that they will be using a 4g data charge, but who's to say it isn't going to be similar to Sprint and charge and additional $10 monthly for unlimited 4g?
