Doesn't $249.99 seem like a lot of money?
The Thunderbolt is rumored to cost $249.99 and the Inspire 4G is only $99.99. There are like two differences between the phones. Just the front facing camera and Verizon's network. What's up with that?
...
1. It's on Verizon's network
2. It's not the same exact phone as the inspire. The inspire only has 4GB of internal memory while the Thunderbolt has 8GB.
3. The front facing camera is a bigger difference as well, hence making it more expensive.
4. Last but not least, the battery size is larger by just a bit.
These are the reasons the Thunderbolt is more expensive.

And the 4G LTE is going to be free. $50 would be worth it. Never thought about that. Thanks!

I understand there are major changes to the VZ pricing plans in February... What do you mean that LTE will "be free?" I do know they will now offer 1 year AND 2 year contract options. There will be corresponding price differences for sure!

Verizon is stalling as far as this phones release. They are going to have an entirely different data usage plan. It is going to cost you a bunch to have capped data usage. Unlike the 3G network there will be no unlimited plan.
They have tasted blood with the iPhone and the greedy executives are already picking out their new vacation mansions.
The other thing is the 4G network is almost non existent. only 3 cities in California have it.
Petition your elected officials to step in.

Look at Verizon pricing for many of its phones compared to the competition. They always overcharge for devices.
I work for an indirect dealer and we deal with three carriers. Verizon has four phones $100+ and my other carriers are lucky to have one or two phones about $80.
