Discontinuing v810??

Just heard that Motorola moght soon be discontinuing the v810..why??? Seems like its a good phone. Is this true...anyone have an word on it??

Yes, its true. Whatever has been made or is in the channels is going to be it. The reasons are quite simple but revolve around this: no major carrier took the phone in the U.S., though it has done well in Latin America and U.S. Cellular has done a great job selling them.

Here are the main reasons:
1. The phone is really about 18 months old. Component shortages, and other issues delayed its release. The delays pushed it back to where other phones were coming such as the v265 phone. Had there been no major delays Verizon would have taken the phone and launched it here over a year ago. And, don't read too much into rumors the v810 failed VZW testing...not true.

2. The phone is based on the Qualcomm 6050 chipset. The newer CDMA phones are...

I had this phone it sucked so im glad they're discontinuing it sucked(i exchanged it for the v710).
