Things I don't like about the 810 after one day

I don't like that it does not have an alarm feature. I don't like that the external display does not always show at least the time. I don't like how the four way shortcut thing is always shown over my wallpaper and i hate itap.

otherwise it seems to be an alright phone.

Actually there is an alarm feature on the phone, I use it everyday. Its in the datebook section on the phone. Also, you can take the four way shortcut display off of the wall paper, that is in the settings. The time on the outside doesnt stay there continously but if u just hit the button on the side, it will appear, it saves battery life. Hope that helps a little.

twotwentyfiven, you might want to read the manual. I'm not being sarcastic, either, since you've only had the phone for one day. Its a fully-functional phone that has just about everything and the manual is straightforward with the exception of activating the speakerphone.

Thank again everyone 😁

Smaller battery is part no. 5588

The slim battery cover is available on Moto's site.

So i would go from a 5595 to a 5588 if I wanted the smaller battery? How much does this affect it's changed time?

Also I still can't figure out how to use the alarm function.

To use the alarm, you go to the datebook, pick the date, go to "new event" then put the time you want to wake up and then all the way at the bottom of that menu, there is a little alarm symbol with choices you can select. Then that's it! 🙂 You can set the alarm for one time usage, daily, weekly, etc., also.

USCC shipped the v810 with the extended battery because with all of the features of the phone, you will get better usage. The slim battery is great but you will need to recharge nightly. I prefer the slim battery because the phone is even smaller and will easily fit in my pocket.

when you're on the phone, hit the OK button... then the phone will prompt you, you have to hit one of the soft keys (don't remember which) to activate speakerphone

Correct. You can activate the Speakerphone as soon as you see "connected" on the screen. Its the left soft key that will enable it. To turn off the speakerphone, just press the OK button again.

Instructions for this are DEFINITELY sketchy in the manual.

It Does have an alarm feature. Just push down on the side volume button and it shows the time. You can hide the shortcut by going to personalize, home keys, idle keys and change it to hide so u can only see them when you push ok. You should read ur manual.
