Definitely NO v810 for Verizon

To repeat...Verizon will NOT be releasing the v810. Here's the quote from my contact at Verizon (so I consider this to be a closed-case once and for all):

"No, we are not launching the Moto v810. If a store received call-out cards it was an error. We are definitely not launching this device."

???? Why would VZW spend the time & effort to produce & send info about the phone if is it dead? I know it's a big company & people may not communicate as well as they should. We'll see what happens.

I completely agree. My contact handles Verizon for the Midwest, so I don't know about other parts of the country. I will tell you one of my contacts at Motorola told me it was "90 percent" through the channels" with Verizon before Verizon decided not carry it.

This really shouldn't be a shocker. On July 27, Motorola publicly stated at its Analyst Day that it was surprised Verizon rejected the phone after it changed the antenna per Verizon's request. Several others on Howard Forums said Veriz...

I thought so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VZW is introducing/will be introducing a multitude of new phones in the next month or so - including 2 newer phones than the 810 from Moto, 2 from Audiovox, 2 or so from LG and at least one or more from Nokia. There is no way they add this phone in their line-up.

Bottom line, the 810 was a great concept that just didn't make it to the big time.

Aldcon, prepare to eat a huge meal of crow, buy your own beer -- and get some new "sources" while you are at it.

Aldcon, give it up. My contacts are far more reliable than yours when it comes to the v810. Its okay to be wrong once in awhile. You owe me a case of beer. Its that simple. But, I do trust you on the v265... 😁

Peace, brotha... 😎

The v810 is a steal for $80. Take it. Don't look back. The v710 is decent, but remember, Bluetooth is limited because Verizon wants you to use Get It Now (BREW). Good luck.

Oh, come on now!! Is it just me, or is it that no one wants this phone to come out by VZW? Like I said before, I talked to Moto as well as VZW and they both told me that VZW will carry the V810 in maybe 2-3 months depending on how it tests. ☚ī¸ đŸ˜ŗ 😕 😡

I would love to have this phone.
Being an Alltel customer I am very limited to phone selection. Verizon is not available here.
When my husband's phone died I got him T720 for Verizon off Ebay & after Alltel flashed it, it works perfectly.
Now if only I could find me a phone I like & the T720 ain't it. LOL
I love the outside display on the LG 5550 but the v810 sounds like everything I am looking for in a phone.
If anyone out there finds a great deal on this phone please let me know.

TIA,
Paula

It is a Verizon-branded phone. You can find them if you look in the right places.

I stand corrected. I was extremely interested in the phone, then started hearing that Verizon wasn't going to carry it, then they were, etc... I got tired of waiting and opted for the Audiovox 9900. While the phone may not be as good as a Moto, for the price, I don't regret it.
