V810 price drop

ee4tech

The price of the V810 on the website was 159.95 with a 30 mail in rebate making it 129.95. So now that it is 129.95 with 30 mail in that makes it 99.95. So there has been a price drop, more specifically the drop occured in the amount allowed for a 2 yr contract. It was 90 now it is 120. There is a disclaimer on the website saying that prices are good only on the website meaning that the stores don't have to follow suit. I would suggest checking with the stores and seeing if they will honor the website costs, likely it will depend on the store and the person you talk with.

The $30 mail-in rebate (from Motorola) is the "price drop" which was available in stores when the phone came out. Only now do you see this offer included on the USCC website.

Fincher, the rebate was available online last week. The price was 159.95 less a 30 mail in which made it 129.95 total cost. This week it is 129.95 less a 30 mail in which makes is 99.95 total cost. The price drop came in the amount that they are allowing for a 24 month agreement...it went from 90 to 120.

Also, in response to the other poster, there is not a coupon code that you need to get the 99.95 price. If you buy it off of the internet USCC will charge you 129.95 and then they will send you a mail in rebate form.

But is there a coupon code that might get you a further discount- that's what I was asking.

Also is there then an upgrade fee of $15 if you buy online?. It appears not but I want to check for sure. In the store thay say there is no activation fee but there is a new equipment upgrade fee of $15 which is kind of weaslely

WLS, I haven't seen any such coupon codes online, but if someone finds one I'd love to hear about it. I think it is pretty weasely about the equipment change fee myself too and I'm not sure what they would do online. Best bet is to just call the 1-800-BUY-USCC number and ask them. Like most deals with cell phones this is all going to depend on who you talk to whether it be at the store or the 800 number. When I went into the store to upgrade and get my 810 they were able to work it out so that I didn't get charged an equipment change fee, but if I would have gone with completely new service I would have had to pay the activation fee. I'm sure if you talk to the right person that you'll be able to get one of the two waived. I really can...

Well, come to think of it, I think you're right. I went to a USCC-owned store the day the v810 came out and my net would have been $129 if I signed a 2-year, which included the $30 mail-in rebate. Thanks for the clarification.

Aldcon, do you have the phone? If so, what's your opinion? Same menus as prevoius moto's? same plugs? good signal? You have the V265 as well? (i think I read that in the V265 forum) Does that have metal faceplates? I see they are chageable. (wrong forum, I know) That was also in that forum. Which one do you prefer?

Aldcon, check out my previous posts. I always gave you the benefit of the doubt. Like you, I have contacts "in the know" and none said it wasn't coming out, but all said "don't count on it." When it does come out, you get a case of beer per our previous wager.

Banshee98, I have the v810 for Verizon. Same accessories, good signal, no changeable faceplates. Same menus as previous Motos plus the phonebook is much better. Only issues with mine are a somewhat shaky Mobile Web 2.0 and losing the date/time when in a low-signal area and surely these issues will be addressed.

Aldcon, what is the software version on your v810 for Verizon? I have 23.30.55, which probably older than yours.

😁 I no longer have the phone. The version was not checked. The phone will be out. I have said it b4.
The phone has all the features that I have wanted, small, large display, gin, blue oled frony display, and the best of all VZW best coverage.
I hope they make a cradle for the phone, for the car kits!!

Well, wait and see.

Aldcon,

1. Why did you use the v810 for such a short time this last go-round?

2. Yes, we all know you have been saying the v810 was coming out for Verizon. I am still skeptical but the fact banshee98 says callout cards are ready, this is good news. But, until its on a store shelf or Moto or Verizon announces something, I will still be skeptical.

3. And, until I get "postitive" news on this from MY sources, I will still be skeptical...and I'm working on that now.

4. Perhaps the best thing about all of this is you no longer type in ALL CAPS and with lousy grammar.

5. I pay all bets. I'm good for it. 😁

Okay now, is it a definite that Verizon Wireless is coming out with the V810? Is there anywhere in the USA where this phone has been released by Verizon? I hear that a few people already have this phone by Verizon.

As you can tell, we are trying to determine if its definite. Some of us have a v810 with the Verizon software, software versions that were used during Verizon's testing and some of those units have Verizon branding on it as well.
