Test Guy???
Guys all i can say is what i was told..... i was basically assured that the V810 along with 2 other phones is being released ....if im wrong sorry, but if im right, good for all.
But....If there is a Verizon test guy on the forum, help us out !!!I have an account with Verizon, and one with Nextel that im not switching till this phone comes out so i can the discount!!...Nextel service sucks!!

I have just completed a "friendly user trial" of this phone. I find that is comparable to the v8160 in size and Motorola has finally switched the Send/End buttons. The camera is the best available today w/4x zoom(still not 1megapix) and call quality is great. Good antenna design so no breaking it off in the pocket.
The phone uses standard v60 accessories but you should probably purchase the ext. capacity battery.

When do you expect this phone to come out? This looks like verizon's only promising phone but I am not sure how long I can wait.

If..., I mean, If QA gives its' blessing, it may be available by Feb. Device releases have more to do with contracts, shipping quantity and lawyers than actual performance. There may be other firmware related issues involved, as well.

Maybe/maybe not... Let me be clear. VZW gets imput and makes their product decision on more than successful test results. The moment you put a ship date down is the moment it changes, this is why carriers and mfgs rarely hit roll out dates.
VZW has many 'Test Guys' for product testing and nework testing. I was just one, in this case, who happened to be doing product research in this forum, and responded to the varied messages.
I like the phone, but can only commit to a Q1 availability(early???), and I very easily could be wrong. I will say, that VZW is set to have a "banner year!"

why is the audiovox 8900 off the verizonwireless web page???
is it something wrong with it? when is the samsung a790 coming out is that gonna be a try mode? and the lg 7000 is that a try mode and a cam phone??

The aud 8900 is on a recall for problems with the data capabilities of the phone, hopefully they can be fixed but it no longer available for purchase. Kinda says a lot about the company doesnt it, the phone has not been out 3 weeks and already there is a problem with it, sad!!

I got the 8900 the day it came out, which was probably a bad idea. It's an OK phone, but the speakerphone isn't nearly loud enough. In any case, they pulled them off the shelves to update the software, they were having problems with LNP with the Get It Now, Mobile Web and Picture Messaging services (though my phone works perfectly in all those respects).
It is not at all uncommon for problems to be found in the first couple weeks of a phone's release. You can simply bring your phone in and they'll flash the software to update it. It's not as though this phone has been pulled.
That said, the v810 looks amazing, exactly what Verizon needs. I may trade in my 8900, go back to my StarTac 7868W and wait for this phone to come out...
