😕 🙄 😲 😡
I like the key pad on the V810 better than the one on the V710, but I'm not quite sure which one is newer, or better... Im up for an upgrade in September, hoping it's out by then... 😁

the 810 will be VERY dated when it comes out. Best thing about will be the size and the screen resolution. Everything else will be dated (compared to other phones out at same time.) If you want a small phone with a pretty screen and an average camera, this is a very good phone, that is, if it ever comes out and if its reasonably priced for its average offering. Some people have noticed its basic n similarity to the ill fated t720 in form, and hopefully not function. the 710 is going to be the best phone verizon has to offer for some time so Id expect it to be very pricey and it is not a petite phone.

Dear ,

Thank you for your recent correspondence with Motorola.

Regarding your concern, we are excited about bringing the Motorola V810 to US market!
Motorola is continuously launching new products. When cellular products launch, the timelines are often defined by agreement between Motorola and the phone carrier who will be selling the product on our behalf. Because of...

Sure you want to post this? LieBuster will think you are making it up.

It seems to me that Moto should just write off this generation of phone. They just couldn't get it launched in time. It would have been competitive against the 8900 and 6000. However with the 9900, 6100, and 7000 coming soon it looks like the v810 will be left behind. If they price it as the opening price point phone it may find a market. Otherwise I fear they will have another loser on their hands.

Think of it this way. Even if the v810 comes out at the same time as the v710:
$X to develop the v810
$Y to be made from folks who either don't realize that the 710 is better than the 810 or want a less expensive phone
$Z to market the phone enough so that it gets some sales, do support, ...

All excellent points.

I would add the size difference as well. The V810 is very small. The V710 is quite the opposite. There's always a market for small/sleek phones, regardless of features.

Good points. Probably also their stock would take a hit if the new CEO couldn't get products out to the market at all. His predecessor just was late with bad products.

we have to understand that we have been waiting for this phone for 6 months. but people outside phonescoop or other website don't know this. They see a Moto Camera phone that is small and they will buy it.
