Almost here!

This phone is either already being sold somewhere or is finally about to launch. I've just visited a couple of sites that sell aftermarket accessories and found accessories, however minimal, for the V810! 😳 I know that I've been keeping an online "vigil" waiting for this phone to launch, I think this weekend I'll visit a Verizon Wireless store in my area. It has definitely got to launch soon, AT&T finally launched the long-awaited Motorola V600, so the V810 can't be too far behind......fingers crossed. 🙂

If you do a Google search for any of the new phones (that aren't even out yet), you will find web sites that are already selling car chargers, batteries, leather cases, etc.
That does not mean the phone will be out any time soon.

Perhaps that may be true. All I know is that there are a few very specific sites that I visit on a regular basis and 3 weeks ago, there was absolutely nothing regarding the V810 on these sites.

I believe there was a past post that mentioned the 810 was released in South America a month or so ago but not by Verizon (of course) it was another provider. If we were holding our breaht for VZN to release new products, we'd all be dead a long time now.

😁 LOL Now that is true. I love Verizon, but they are the kings of tease. I have a T720 right now. I don't know if I can wait on them to release this V810 if they drop the Audiovox 9900 sooner.

I know your T720 pain! 😳

I really got tired of waiting as I wanted to port over to Verizon from AT&T. I went ahead and got the Samsung SCH-A530s. I have 15 days to like it or lump it, take it down the road and dump it! If the V810 hits within that timeframe, this Samsung is a goner! However, I must say, I definitely like the Samsung, the only drawback is the external color display can only be manually "activated" by opening the flip Other than that, I have no complaints.......yet. 😉

My question to the person who is entertaining V810 questions is regarding the external display. I believe that is an LED display as opposed to an LCD or color. Is it possible to manually "activate" the external display, to check the date, time...

V710 looks so much better than the V810 but will probably take longer to come out.

Hi. I dont know much about the v810...being that I dont own one:

I do, however, know about your current Samsung A530s:

You can activate the external screen with out first flipping open the screen.

Simply press and HOLD DOWN the side key till it comes on...it only takes a second.

Hope that helps. 🙂

I believe that the outer display is LCD as well. I think it's just "reversed" like the display in the V70. I think it's visible all the time, but you may have to activate it to see it at night.

You can "activate" the external display on your Samsung SCH-A530 by holding down one of the volume buttons on the side for approx 3 seconds. The display will then light.
