You're right, we are, but let me ask this question. I don't know how things usually go when new phones are ready to be released. Will they tell people in advance what the exact release date will be once that has been decided, or could it be any day that Motorola/Verizon/whowever comes out and says that this phone is now available? Thanks!

From my experience following the release of the 8900, basically no one knows anything firm about release dates. Even when I spoke to the most "up-to-date" person at Verizon's loyalty management department, they gave me an incorrect date for that phone's release (they said it would come about 1 month before it actually did). Basically, anything can happen to delay it, and it usually does, so Verizon doesn't tell anyone in advance so no one's hopes get up and then crushed.
One thing is for sure, a lot of Verizon employees find out about the release exactly 1 week beforehand, and someone will post it here. I've found this to be extremely accurate information. Other than that, you basically have to wait till one week before and follow the...

Hey, you guys need help. I just got back from CES and Motorola was not there! That should tell you alot about there release of the phone. The guy who told you guys about "is ti just me", you know he is right. Motorola does not release the phone out there into the market, Verizon does. Verizon does not see the phone out till March, maybe sooner but the hold ups can be there, remember there can be software, rf signal, or even Get it Now problems; point You just do not know.
Just a word to the wise, have you guys seen the Audiovox 9900?, this phone will blow the v810 out of the water. Compare it!

Do you have any word on the 9900? It looks awesome. I was looking into the 8910 however audiovox says that the phone is not in production yet, and they have no carrier to say at this time. That is the 8910 not the 8920 or 8930, they did not reply to me on that.

Motorola was at CES; just not at the booth number indicated in directory. It took me several hours to find them.
I personally handled two models of the infamous V600. The 810 was not on display however the rep said the unit should be released in a couple of weeks.
As for the Audiovox 9900 their rep confirmed it is due out in Feb. I returned my AV 8900 to Verizon yesterday and am waiting to see which phone Verizon actually releases first.
