I've noticed that the US Cellular version has the stubby antenna mainly tuned for the high frequency 1800-1900 Mhz band but the Verizon version had the pull up antenna (better to receive 800 MHZ) adds one more bar at 800Mhz

Maybe you've got a really old prototype. At VZW request Moto changed it to a stub antenna because the pull-up was blocking the camera lens. Then VZW ended up rejecting the phone.

About these two types of antennas. The pull-up antenna doesn't necessarily block the camera lens if you don't PULL UP the antenna. Think about it. 🙄

I guess they assumed most people would pull-up the pull-up antenna 😉
