yes it could work on sprint but sprint wont activate an ESN not in thier system.. unless you can talk someone into it. But with this version existing I wonder if sprint has any plans for the Desire.. I heard a rumor that they are thinking about retooling it and turning it into the hero 2 and not using the htc legend.

You have the EVo and the new samsung epic 4g.

This phone shouldnt even be on your radar!

I only ask because a) I'm really not interested in paying the extra $10 a month b) I don't have 4G available where I live and as far as I know won't have any time soon, so I don't have any use for that feature c) I have no need for wireless tethering and hdmi out and d) I have small hands and the extra .3" makes a big difference in comfort

ChellChan, While I would agree about the phones and choices on Sprint, you have a very valid point about the extra 10 bux per month, of which both you and myself won't be able to take advantage of for quite sometime. (Wimax)

Why would the Desire not be on their radar? It is like the Nexus One on steroids! Take the EVo and take out the HDMI output, and shrink the size very slightly, and they are the same phone. The EVo is by no means not a great device, but the Desire is a FANTASTIC piece of equipment. And the Epic....seriously not that impressive. Techradar also has the Desire ranked #1 in the world amongst all smart phones out there! Killed device!

Plus now USCC has a great $70/month rate plan for calling/msging/data/and GPS. Check it out.
