--Nokia still offers phones like this. Simple in design, but nice features to go along. Especially the 5 MP camera.

Yes. ...and yet no GPS, which is an extremely rare omission for a 3G phone. I'm a bit puzzled by that, honestly.

That is puzzling. I don't use GPS hardly ever, however...

GPS means including OVI Maps and that would be a premium. Plus, a lot of people don't need GPS on their feature phone so they save money. Interestingly, it is USB On-the-Go, a feature many smartphones don't even have.

I'm one of them...I just don't need GPS.

Well it could include A-GPS for E-911 at least... and for third-party LBS apps (Foursquare, etc.) without including Ovi Maps.
