HTC G2

Yea it's not looking good over @ XDA. but at least they are still passionate about finding the solution for it. I'm nervous about when the Devs begin to feel discouraged.

I was considering the Vibrant and the G2, but went with the G2 specifically for the Hardware QWERTY I hate virtual keyboards, although Swype makes them much more bearable. I like the G2, and have been able to get all the functionality i want with 3rd party apps save for the following:

Full 7 screens for desktop
Install to SD
Removal of Bloatware

I also prefer the qwerty for the emulators (SNesoid, Nesoid, etc) and gaming that doesn't use the accelerometer. I don't like the on-screen overlay of the controls, I'd much rather program actual buttons on the qwerty.

But yea, i do like the phone as a whole and could probably deal with the outstanding issues I mentioned above indefinitely, so i think I'll hold onto it.

I just have a serious Issue with Buying a product to own it and not have full access and control over it. Especially when the OS it's built on allows for that type of control.
