I'm an avid G1 user and Ive been waiting for months for this phone to come out and now that I see the features that it had on it I'm pretty disappointed..

No front facing/duel cameras?? FAIL!!
Video calling is one of the coolest features out there right now..

No 1Ghz processor? WHYYYYYYY?????
I realize the 800Mhz probably isn't that much different but why not just go the distance and get the 1Ghz??

Would have liked to have seen a little bit of a larger screen.. With phones like the Galaxy, HD2, and other larger screen phones I would have liked to have seen a little bit larger screen on this phone. 😕

Anyways these are my gripes. Lol.. Kinda sad, guess ill be waiting for a different phone that has it all..

The frontward facing camera is nice, but it's not a deal-breaker for me. That tech has been around for years overseas, but I wonder how many people actually use that feature.

The processor is actually a lot more efficient than previous SnapDragon processors, so things like graphics will have hardly any trouble being rendered on the phone.

I'll have to see the phone for myself in person before I can comment on the screen size, though.

I'm sure there will be a phone not too far down the road that will have all of those features and more.

so the design will stay the same

front facing camera's are nice, but the tech has been around since the 90's. the only reason everyone wants it right now is because of the iphone. Fring and Quik have it for android, but both of them are still buggy.

This phone is FASTER than any 1ghz processor. Think about computer chips. You used to get a Pentium4 with a 3.6ghz processor or something retarded. Now you get new computers where they are at 1.8ghz and they run laps around those old pentiums.

Clock speed is just how fast your battery will die. This phone will fly, and putting a snapdragon in it will make is SLOWER.

It has a Snapdragon cpu, but yes, a next generation snapdragon.

The phone is nice but, I can tell you from experience that the 800 MHz processor is a bit sluggish IMHO. I have a Vibrant and that thing is very smooth running and allot more user-friendly. I think the screen size is pretty nice, you have to remember that there are those of us who don't want to carry our flatscreens in our pockets. As far as the front facing camera thing, I don't know of anyone that has a device with one so who would I face-time chat with anyway. All in all I would rate the G2 as a good phone but, they left a lot out that should have been upgraded.
