Concerned about battery life

looking at the specs that are released on this phone so far the battery life appears to suck major. I hope this is a mistake, that could be a major drawback to getting this phone. I know there are apps that help you extend your battery life but just look at how the G2 specs stack up next to its 4 competitors.

HTC G2
Talk: 6.5 hr
Standby: 18 hr
(0.7 days)

HTC Nexus one
Talk: 7 hr
Standby: 250 hr
(10.4 days)

Samsung Vibrant

Standby: 432 hr
(18 days)

HTC HD2

I love the fact that it is vanilla android 2.2 and that it has a physical keyboard which is a big plus but that battery life may not make it a buy for me. ☚ī¸

The Stand-by time HAS to be a mistake! there is just no way that can be true.. That has to be 18 days NOT hours..

It is 18 days, not hours. It's fixed. Sorry for the mistake!

The standby time is 430hrs, which is ~18 days.

Of course, as with all devices these times are not including app use or syncing.
They basically disable background data on a freshly formatted device (not running any mem intensive apps) and test how long till it dies.
