I'm gonna go with, uh, NO. Played with the HTC Surround and the HD7 today and have to say, the Surround is the better choice for those of you looking for a phone and not a coffee table. Better feel, better equipped (the Dolby speakers will greatly add to any Netflix viewing experience) and on a better overall coverage network.

That said, the real question was how is WP7. My wife has the iPhone 4 (iOS) and I've been looking for something similar (it's great), but not an iPhone. iOS is buttery smooth. Tried to like Android, but it wasn't doing it for me. After playing with WP7, I have to say this could be the real deal for those wanting a super simple, super intuitive and super smooth interface on their mobile device without going the iPhone route. Give it 6-9 months. With some good app support, WP7 can take half the Android market that currently exists. It's a very solid operating system.

You'd never know it was "Windows".
