Still hasn't corrected the GPS. Unfortunately the GPS is a frequently used feature (for me) but I'm outside of the 14 day return window. Has anyone had any luck rooting their Vibrant?

Rooting the device and backing it up is easy. there also quite a few good 2.2 roms for the vibrant that fix the gps. Such as the axura rom. go to you tube and type in - custom rom installation tetorial for the t-mobile samsung galexy S (vibrant)-an easy to follow video should come up follow the directions and your good to go.

no its not. i just found a really cool rom tho. If you go to xda-developers its in the vibrant forms under development. The rom is called nero v3 with voodoo lag fix and its amazing. Its 2.2 with a lot of 2.3 elements added in. Everything works on it too! Plus it's 100000000 times faster.

Yep... same here. Running Nero v3 with voodoo. Like I said in my previous review, the Vibrant has good hardware (and I'll be installing a front facing camera next week!)
No telling if it's Samsung or TMobile holding up the official Froyo update, why wait?

yep its amazing. I really want to do the ffc but i dont know if i want to mess with the hardware. i haven't found the kahones for that yet.
