I haven't tested it on the Aria yet, but on my other HTCs you have to have the headphones hooked up to it so it can use the cord as the FM antenna but you can listen to the radio through the loudspeaker on the phone.
Since it's Android, you should have plenty of options for being able to watch Youtube videos. I know the Skyfire web browser can do it right in the browser or I'm sure you can get a stand-alone player too.
