iPhone 4 or HTC EVO 4G for me? My situation...

I am a long time iPhone user and I do love it. I also do not seem to have any problems with AT&T service where I live. I have also found that AT&T works better in the places I tend to travel to when I am not at home. When I had Verizon our phones would not work in Iuka, MS or in Alaska. Our iPhones work in both places.

Still, I am so tempted to switch to Spring and get the HTC EVO 4G. I am mainly interested in it for two reasons...the large screen and the WiMax service (I am in Portland, OR).

I need to make up my mind because my AT&T contract is up for renewal this month and I need to decided whether to stay with AT&T and get the iPhone 4 or switch. Since I am grandfathered in I would be keeping my unlimited data plan with AT&T so that...

I'd switch to the EVO and try it for free since Sprint has that for 30 days. If you dont like it cancel for no charge and go back to the iphone.

I have to tell you as a first time android owner I am completely sold on the HTC EVO product. I normally find flaws of some sort on almost every phone I have owned in the last decade. I have found nothing wrong with it. That could change but, it just all works and very well. If you have the ability and it sounds like you do, try the phone out. Give it a few days to see if it and the service works for you. No service in my opinion has been without it's drawbacks or dropped calls. The android forums are very helpful and I use them often for advice.

I hope you figure it out. The new iphone sounds pretty cool too...

Find out how well Sprint 3G/4G service is in your area (Portland, OR) from others that have either 3G or 4G service.
I personally like the large screen. Device is known to be good... you just have to check on the service itself.
