Frame antenna and "Retina Display"

Overall, I'm pretty impressed with the specs on this thing. But the Electrical Engineer inside me questions the wisdom of building an antenna out of stainless steel AND making all the antennae exposed surfaces on the phone. Copper and aluminum are both FAR better conductors for antenna applications. AT&T is shoddy enough in most places, I worry that this thing is going to be even less of a "phone" the previous i"Phone" models.

I had one of the first Samsung phones with an internal antenna and I could make that thing drop calls 100% of the time by simply placing my finger on the plastic housing that concealed the antenna.

It's impossible to hold this new iPhone without touching an antenna. They must have figured out some ne...

It was released already, its called the EVO.

And I would say it was the other way around, it took cr-apple a while to pump out a comparable iphone and it still fell short.

It's impossible to hold this new iPhone without touching an antenna. They must have figured out some new antenna physics somewhere, because I don't think they're stupid by any stretch of the imagination. It will be fun to watch how this all shakes out.

i love the iphone 4, but in a way i think apple kinda screwed us into buying the bumper which would get rid of that reception issue, not really a big deal for me on the antenna thing but can be a lil irritated to know it has the ability to lose bars just off of the way you hold it... all in all its a great phone
