Iphone 4 data reception...
What's up with the new Iphone 4.....while at the AT&T store yesterday I tested the new Iphone data reception capabilities and could not get it to complete it's attempt to receive my business website which I frequently go to. It is nonsense to say it is the position it is held in because it was not in my hand, it was still sitting on the display pedestal. I then went to the 3Gs which was just two feet away and instantly received the same website. Several more tries on the 4 and still no success........(?).

Its because there is a problem with the system the stores use to update their demo devices. If you double check you couldnt place a call either. If the phone was not connected to WIFI then you would have no access to any data. That store is behind on properly setting up demo phones.

Perhaps....however not as you suggest with placing calls, I did in fact place calls using the same Iphone 4.

There is an option under settings, general, network to turn just cellular data off. It is possible that the cellular data was turned off on the iphone 4. This option is new with the 4.0 os.
