Bought the HTC EVO 3G...Switching back to iPhone 4

Well, after whining on here that I could not decide whether to buy the new iPhone 4 and renew my AT&T contract or go to Sprint for the new EVO I took the advice of fellow forum members and purchased an HTC EVO 4G from Sprint. People suggested I buy it and try it for 30 days and return it if I was not happy. If I was happy I could cancel my AT&T contract at that time.

After four days I am going to be returning the EVO 4G on monday and ordering the iPhone 4 on tuesday.

Do not get me wrong, the EVO4G is an amazing phone and my review of it in the EVO review section will be a glowing one. Although I do have a few minor physical build issues with the phone, the problems I have with it are mostly carrier related.

The physical issues I hav...

Your thread is a little misleading considering that the Iphone4 is not even out yet nor can you pre-order until the 15th. So how can you possibly be returning to something you never had? Confused

You must have just scanned through the post and misunderstood what I am saying. If you pay attention to the part where I say "I am going to be returning the EVO 4G on monday and ordering the iPhone 4 on tuesday." you will understand a bit better. I am returning the EVO, not the iPhone. I will order the iPhone tuesday...which is the 15th. Smile

They're talking about the title.

I was actually thinking the same exact thing when I read the title "Bought the HTC EVO 3G...Switching back to iPhone 4".

Thankyou for returning it as we desperatley need HTC Evo's. They are one of the hardest phones to keep in stock.

I'm calling BS on this, the screen on the EVO IS glass, if you actually had one you would know that. Your iphone was averaging 6 to 8, get the EF outta here. That's the most ridiculous thing I've read. No iphone on At&t can get that speed. The theoretical speed on At&t is 7.2, just about everyone knows the data speeds on At&t are embarrassing. What do you expect to accomplish by lying? Rolling Eyes

The OP actually said .6 and .8 not 6 and 8.

Shouldn't be so quick to jump people with a different viewpoint of the world than yourself.

I'm not sure where you live, but in the south, AT&T is pretty strong....especially compared to Sprint.

I think thats weird. I have a Motorola Droid and a 3GS and my DROID runs circle around my 3GS, that weird that the Evo only loaded a second faster. I have done speed test on both and the DROID is a monster with my data speeds. I dont have dropped call issues with either phone. I dont know why so many people say that about the iPhone, Im also in Chicago.
