When Will Droid X be available
I am up for my new every two tomorrow. I'd love to get this phone but everytime I check the website the date keeps getting pushed back for shipping. Now it says August 31st. Has anyone ordered it and had it shipped early? I'd love to get my hands on it ASAP!

I'm not due to upgrade until Sept. 4th. I called them last Thursday and asked since there was a back order if I could go ahead and order it since it wouldn't ship until the 31st. They said that since it's within 30 days till my upgrade they could do it. It's supposed to ship on the 30th. Called my local corporate store yesterday to see if they had any in stock and they didn't. The rep said that when they order them, customers are actually getting them earlier than that. Call and get your order started. It'll at least get it to you a day earlier.

I don't mean to rub it in, but I am really glad I got mine on the day it was released. I had a feeling this was going to happed (just like the increadible). My wife thought I was nuts for wanting to stand outside of a Verizon store 2 hours before it opened just to get a phone. I tried to explain to her that it wasn't because I HAD to have it that day, but I knew that once they sold out of that small initial shipment it could take weeks to get one. I was right. For those of you who are waiting to get one...it's worth it. AWESOME device.
