Viewing Full Web Site Instead Of Mobile Web Site

I was wondering if there was a setting or a way to get the X to load the full view web site instead of the streamlined mobile version.

In a Verizon store I was testing the X by trying to load the regular web sites for sites like MLB, Mets, and CNET. Each time, it loaded the simplified mobile version (even if I clicked on the link on the bottom of the web page to view the full site. I went into the web settings to see if there was a way to enable the X to load the full site or disable viewing the mobile sites. I could not find any.

I then went to the Incredible and tried the same thing. There is a an option in the Incredible's web setting to enable or disable the viewing of mobile web pages. I can't remember the exact name (something l...

It depends on the browser, but if you get one of the market browsers, like Opera or Dolphin, they have settings to change the user agent to something other than android, which should work.

I just checked in the stock Droid browser, if you go to Menu, Settings, there's a user agent property than can be set from android to iphone, desktop, and something else. Setting it to desktop should work for what you are trying to do.

Thanks! I should be back in the Verizon store over the weekend. I'll see if the X has the same setting option as the Droid.
