mobile hotspot
I need some help still some what kind of new to my droid x any good apps? tips? or tricks? anybody recommends. Also is there anyway to make my phone a mobile hotspot without having to pay verizon an xtra 15$(i think) a month without having to do anything to difficult. Dont want to do anything that will come close to bricking my phone. Thanks for all the feedback

Easiest, non-rooting tether app is PDANet. You'll need an app on your laptop and phone. Then you can share your internet connection over USB or Bluetooth.

For a true hotspot wifi app you'll need to pay for it or gain root access and install a free market app called 'wifi tether'. My Hero is easy to root and I'm loving the free app!!
