How to format EVERYTHING

So I bought this phone off eBay and it was reset to factory defaults when I got it, so I activated it yesterday and have been using it. I plugged it into my computer and started browsing folders on it. Well I found some "explicit" pictures on there. It looks like cache or temp internet files you get from browsing the web. So I am flipping out, wondering what else is on this phone. I was on the phone with Verizon for about 45 minutes, talking to 2 different techs, and they had me do a factory reset (again) which is supposed to erase everything off the phone and they're still there! They had me clear cache, browsing history, etc but they were still there!

Now I know I can just delete them through Windows Explorer when browsing the folders, ...

What I assume you are seeing is that it keeps a thumbnail of each page visited in a folder on the phone memory. I would think the factory reset would have cleared it out, but obviously it didn't. The clearing browser history will not work because that is stored on the SD card, not the phone memory.

The only thing I can tell you to do is clear it and look through the phone to see what else might be in there. You can do that through usb hookup or by downloading the androzip. If using androzip, it will be in the phone system memory in the emmc folder (this is the memory for phone storage) under bookmark_thumbs1. If you're woried, you can also check that /emmc area to see anything else the phone has stored. Then just press on the file...

That's really interesting, I had no idea it was a known issue. I guess I'm not surprised that Verizon didn't know about it. And the bookmark_thumbs1 folder is exactly where I was seeing most of those files.

yah when i had my inc it did that too
you can sownload astro file manager in the market and just delete it from the phone.
