Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S)

So I went to Samsung's site to see if they had anything on this, I went to the Captivate page, went all the way to the bottom for troubleshooting and got to the "troubleshooting guide". I selected Power Issues, then Intermittent power down and the page said: Power Issues can come from several sources including batteries, chargers, and the handset itself. That's it, nothing else. So that means that Samsung knows about the issue but isn't doing anything about it....great.

I got my captivate last week and it started shutting off yesterday. Very frustrating since I use it for work and it is my main means of communication.

I'm guessing "froyo" won't fix the issue, it would need to be a firmware update?
