First off, the screen on this device is OUTSTANDING. I haven't seen anything quite like it. Also, the phone is thin and light, and battery will last two days at least even with moderate use.

Now, my issues are these... WTF did Samsung do to Android??? The only thing I can think of to describe it is neutering. Most of what I consider stock widgets, like analog clock, are absent. Even after replacing the Touch Wiz UI, they do not reappear.

I think you are forgetting why this phone is so great, it is fully customizable. Which means you can make it act and look like whatever you want. If you want the digital clock, then just add one. There are many on the market..try this one: http://www.androlib.com/android.application.c om-androidapps-widget-weather2-pEp.aspx

or Beautiful Widgets also has some cool ones: http://www.androidtapp.com/beautiful-widgets/

No phone may be perfectly want you want out of the box, but if it can be customized, go for it! Sorry but an app can't move the power button, just have to get use to that one!

Remove ALL icons and widgets from your touchwiz homescreens and then set the alternative launcher as a default.

You won't be able to totally strip out samsung's tweaks with this, but it will make the phone LOOK like stock android
