VX 6000 firmware?
Can somebody please tell me what the latest firmware version is for the VX 6000?
I want to make sure I have the latest versions of software installed on my phone? How do I update it if I have an old version?

the latest one that is available is version 06, the original one was was verion 05. so you would have either one of those. the only way to update it is to go into a VZW store and have one of the tech guys update it for you, there is no other way for you to do it and it will take about a half hour minus the line. version 07 is currently being tested, so if it passes expect it soon also...

Do you have to reenter all the phonebook info after they've updated the firmware? If so, what a pain. ☹️

you do not have to reenter info after update. just had mine updated yesterday to version 8.

upgraded my 6000 to v8 and from the day i got it upgraded i have problems w/ voice memos, i can record while on phone call but when i go to tools and vmemos to listen to them phone freezes righ away and i need to pull off the battery to get it going...anybody else having problem w/ this??? this happens every single time

also when searching for lets say car dealership in your area thru mob web and you found it and try to make call from browser to connect it/call/dial it doesn't work anymore just sits there w/ message browswer call ending or something like that....once again ...anybody else having problms w/ this

maybe because recording a voice converstation over the phone without telling someone that you're recording it is against the law...
