OK I'M GETTING THE VX 6000 TOMMOROW FROM MY FREIND CAUSE HIS PHONE GOT CUT OFF. I WAS WONDERING IF I SWITCH THE SIM CARD DO I HAVE TO CALL VERIZON AND TELL THEM TO DO AN ESN SWITCH? I MEAN WILL MY PHONE NOT WORK? AND ALSO IF THEY DO CHARGE DO N E ONE KNOW HOW MUCH VERIZON WILL CHARGE ME IF I GET ON THE NET AND DO THE SWITCH MY SELF?

I dont know if the SIM card stores the ESN on it or not. The phone should work, but if not just call verizon to get the esn changed, it only takes about 3 minutes and there is no extra charge.

um, this is CDMA, there is NO gsm card. all you have to do is call VZW when you have the phone in your hands to do the esn switch. then, after they switch it, all you have to do is dial *228 and option 1 to program it. in about a minute it should be 100% functionable...
