Replying to: Uploading ringers by wonder
Re: Uploading ringers
1. when the file size of the ringtone is too large.
2. when you send a ringtones to replace existing ringtones (usually the default 5 that will never be removed no matter how many times you delete them) with bitpim. if you delete any of the ringtones through the phone, without using bitpim, this will happen when you restart the phone. you will see the ringer name and no audio will play.
one way to correct it is by connecting your phone, open bitpim, and remove all of the ringtones in the ringers section. then, send that data (with no ringers in the ringers folder) to the phone and click replace and ok. all of your existing ringers will be removed and replaced with nothing when you go to the my media folder. now re-start the phone and the default 5 ringtones will be there and all will have audio. now try transfering the ringers again, and remember if you're going to delete any ringtones that you added, remove them by using bitpim and don't delete them through the phone...
