considering you are not using a cable, the only other way is to e-mail it to your phone. i am taking it you are trying to send it to use as wallpaper? if you are, just know that the best size to send it is 120x131 pixles and use either a gif, png or bmp. if you try to use a jpg as wallpaper, you will ALWAYS see a white bar above and below the picture. also, if you have the older software (s/w ends in 05 instead of 06) the start-up or shut-down pic it has to be 120x160 pixles to prevent white bars. latastly, if you need to find out any other info, visit the howard forums at www.howardforums.com and look around in the ringtone/wallpaper link at the top of the page. they blow this place out of the water.

my bad, i totally forgot to tell you how to e-mail it from your pc to your phone. all you need to do is to create an e-mail and address it to your10digitcelluarphonenumber@vzwpix.com and attach the picture you want to send (only 1 picture per e-mail) and then send it and you're done. the subject and description are not neccessary, and anyone that tell you they make it go through easier doesn't know what they are talking about. it will take about 10-15 seconds to be fully received and you should wait for the phone to finish receiving it before you open the flip. if you want some wallpaper and ringtones, check out the howardforums link in the other reply i made for you. there are some links in there to some great wallpaper and ringtone sites. ...

Ok, i figured out what was wrong but still have an issue. First, for some reason, when you buy a camera phone you need to call vzw and have them activate your pict message feature, it costs nothing but they have to manually do it.

Now after that, i resent the picture and the email came through this time but i got no picture, it had the subject and an exclamation point at the top right.

Any ideas?

I believe I know exactly what your problem is. I just got the aud 8900 and had the same problem. I have owned 2 camera phones before it though and never had any problems. First thing is you need to be activated like you said by vzw to accept/send pic messages- I pay 2.99 a month for 20 messages...thats good enough.
So I bring my phone in and explain to them that whenever I get a pic message, my phone sends me a text stating "you've got a pic message to see it visit www.vzwpix.com", the girl told me that it takes 24 hours sometimes to kick in---WRONG, like I said I owned 2 phones already with no 24 hr delay. I then give the phone to the tech guy and he solves my problem. He told me that sometimes calls and or pic messages can go into a...

ok, i had a simlar problem a few days after i sent a bunch of text messages. first, call VZW and make sure pix messaging is activated on your account. second, if you are e-mailing a picture to your phone (with pix messaging activated) and you are NOT receiving it for ANY reason (considering file size of the picture DOESN'T matter no matter what anyone at VZW tells you) it's a data transfer issue and it DOES and WILL happens from time to time. dial *22899 send from your phone and after it's done programing hit ok to commit. it should be fine now. i originally had a similar problem and spoke to someone at data support and they gave me that fix, and immediately after the call it worked fine. if i do from time to time have a problem receiving AN...

It's *22890. There is a limit on the picture file size, it can not be over 100k.

You are right about it fixes the problem most of the time.

take it from someone in data support. 😛

actually, #22890 and *22899 are to totally different shortcuts... 99 is the equivalent of dialing *228 and option 2...
